My prescription is expiring. How do I get a new one?

If you live in a state where Keeps offers telemedicine, you can get a new prescription directly from your Keeps medical provider. We'll reach out to you for updated information before your last refill to ensure you don't miss any treatment.

If you've moved to a state where Keeps can't offer telemedicine services, you'll need to visit a doctor in person to receive a new prescription.

What information should I give to my doctor?

Provide your doctor with the following information when you request your refill:

  • For finasteride: Finasteride 1mg, 90-day supply*, refills per doctor discretion
  • For keto shampoo: Ketoconazole shampoo 120ml bottle 2%, use on your scalp 2-3x weekly, 30-day supply, refills per doctor discretion
  • Pharmacy: eRx only, EMR/EHR search criteria: Eagle Pharmacy / Lakeland, FL / NPI:1487905840

*Prescriptions filled through the Keeps pharmacy must be for 90-day supplies. Otherwise, we won't be able to process your order.

Do I need a prescription for minoxidil?

If your plan includes minoxidil, you don't need a prescription from your Keeps medical provider, but you won't receive it unless your finasteride prescription is renewed.

What do I do with the new prescription?

Please email us at help@keeps.com once you have seen your doctor and they have issued your prescription. We will need to communicate this to our pharmacy to ensure your order is processed.

Make sure to let us know how many refills your prescription is for so we can ensure you will not be billed after your prescription has run out. For reference, 3 refills is the standard.

What should I do if my medical history’s changed?

Call or text our Care team at 833-745-3377 and let them about any changes to your health or medical history.

I thought Keeps was all about convenience—why do I have to go to the doctor this year?

Unfortunately, changing state regulations are out of our control. If your state doesn’t allow telemedicine, we’re unable to renew your prescription online.

Instead, you’ll have to visit a doctor in person to get your refill. But don’t worry, you’ll still be able to take advantage of Keeps' affordable prices and get your treatment shipped to your door.
